CHEETAH ORIGINAL IMAGE -
CHEETAH ANGRY!
CHEETAH WORRIED/SAD
SURPRISED CHEETAH
This week we were working on how to give images with no emotion...an emotion. When I was doing it I mainly used the Liquefy Tool to create the looks on the faces of this cheetah cub. The emotions that I chose to give to my subject included Surprised, Worried and Angry. As homework our task was to find 3 images of 3 different emotions. Using these helped me when I was changing the cheetah's face so that it did portray the emotion.

Ke$ha's Animal Album Cover

Another experiment that I tried with blending other images was Ke$ha's Animal Album. I took a panther and leopard and mixed it all up. The result was Ke$ha as a real animal!

Emma Watson WITH Photoshop
Emma Watson BEFORE PHOTOSHOP

Today was about learning how to photoshop imperfections out of photos. Gabby Bury found this photo that was obviously published for the promotion of Harry Potter but the blemishes still remained on Emma Watson face. Mr Andrews showed us how to use the heal tool to get rid of those nasty blemishes and make Hermione's face beautiful again... until we were taught how to use the liquefy tool to make her look weirdly-wonderful! Learning how to use this tool will be very helpful when I am creating my Avatar for this term's assignment as I will be able to mutate the subjects face, similar to the way I did for poor Emma Watson !

After experimenting with Rhianna and the tiger, I decided to do something completly different. I found a beyonce image that was quite simple and then gave her some nice tiger skin, wings , changed the texture of the wings and played with the colouring.

Rhianna and a Tiger

The next lesson we did , we had to mold a celebrity and animal together. I decided that a tiger and the singer Rhianna would work well together. Similar to the tree frog and emu exercise I took the head from the tiger and put it onto Rhianna's head. I erased the tigers eyes, so that the only tiger parts of her were the nose and around the eye area. I decided that I diddn't want the entire face of Rhianna's to be "tigerfied" because I wanted her to still look "believable" or like she was in a costume for a concert or something along those lines. Overall I think that as my knowledge of photoshop improves the quality of my work will become better and I will be able to create more believable projects, but for now I think it's ok!

First Creative Media Project

Our first photoshop project for the year was the emu and the frog or the "frogmu" . We created this by taking a photo of an emu and a frog then putting the images together. After we did that As a class we took the emu's head and put it onto the frog. We then had to adjust the colourating and make the emus head fit onto the frogs. It was a good task to start the year off as it taught us how to use the basic photoshop tools.
